Music Video blogging - How to get a chance of Level 3/4 mark.
Ideally we need to see 3 case study research of music videos in your chosen genre on your INDIVIDUAL blog.
For the GROUP BLOG you need to submit 1 music video analysis.
Looking at the blogs so far you will not be achieving the criteria of excellent research into Music Video with only 1 or 2 music video research blog submissions.
The OCR examiner needs to see that specific research into your media form (music video) has informed your production practise. This will create a sense of a research journey- a unique record of your project.

Planning for next 2 weeks
Planning tasks for the next 2 weeks. These are group tasks for the group blog.
1) Storyboarding- animatic
2) Location recce pictures
3) Cast photos. Lead singer and band pictures. Discuss the image you intend to construct for your artiste.
4) Make up pictures and test.Explain your choices in reference to genre expectations
5) Costume ideas- discussion. Explain your choices in reference to genre expectations.
6) Schedule- week overview and shooting schedule
7) Audience feedback from pitch of idea.
8) Meetings

Preparation and Planning in early Nov- deadline 15th Nov
Here are some GROUP tasks you should be doing before or at least alongside storyboarding:
a) A visually exciting moodboard.
b) Deconstruction of the lyrics- meaning and basis for ideas.
c) Discussion of target audience- demographics (age, nationality, gender) and pyschographics (hobbies, attitude to life, music consumption habits etc)
d) Any other inspiration apart from Music Video media texts?
e) Copyright posting
f) Treatment of your project.
g) Group meeting blog posts- 2 per week at least.
h) Evidence of questionnaire and initial feedback on your treatment/idea from a focus group of the target audience.
